JETSCAPE APPOINTED TO REMARKET TWO E170 AIRCRAFT FOR FINNAIR
17-MAR-09
Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 17 March, 2009 – Jetscape is pleased to announce that today it has been appointed to manage and remarket two Embraer E170STD aircraft on behalf of Finnair, based in Helsinki, Finland. The 2006 vintage aircraft are currently operated by Finnair and are offered for sale or lease.
“We are very excited to announce this remarketing appointment for two E170 aircraft, that we will be offering for sale or lease on behalf of Finnair” said John Evans, Jetscape’s Chairman and CEO. “We have had long-standing relations with Finnair’s management and we are pleased to provide them with Jetscape’s expertise in the E-Jet market.”
In early 2008 Jetscape placed a direct order with Embraer for up to 30 E-jet family aircraft. Jetscape has quickly established itself as a market leader in the E-Jet product line – a fact which was taken into consideration by Finnair in its selection of Jetscape as its remarketing agent – and expects to have eight E-Jets on lease by the end of 2009 through a combination of sale/leaseback transactions with airlines and lease placement of aircraft from Jetscape’s own order book.
In addition to Jetscape’s ongoing E-Jet leasing activities, it is keen to expand upon its third-party management, remarketing and advisory services to the aviation industry and it will continue making selective acquisitions of Airbus and Boeing narrow-body aircraft.
