JETSCAPE APPOINTED TO REMARKET TEN A320 AIRCRAFT FOR MEXICANA
Fort Lauderdale, Florida, July 23, 2009 – Jetscape is pleased to announce that it has been appointed to manage and remarket ten (10) A320-231 aircraft on behalf of Compania Mexicana de Aviacion SA, Mexico City, Mexico. Six (6) of the aircraft were manufactured in 1991 (MSN’s 0252, 0259, 0260, 0261, 0275 and 0276) and four (4) in 1992 (MSN’s 0296, 0320, 0321 and 0353). The aircraft are powered by International Aero Engines IAE-V2500-A1 engines. Currently owned and operated by Mexicana, the aircraft are being offered for sale or lease.
“Having helped bring these earliest A320s into Mexicana’s fleet in the early 1990’s to replace aging 727s, I’m excited about Mexicana’s appointment of Jetscape to assist with this important remarketing project.” said John Evans, Jetscape’s Chairman and CEO. “We appreciate Mexicana’s confidence in Jetscape despite challenging market conditions and we look forward to helping them meet their fleet rationalization and restructuring initiatives. We are also enthusiastic about continuing our long-standing relationship with Mexicana and expanding our well established presence in the Mexican commercial aviation market.”
